STEP 1. The Pre-consultation (Planning)
Before we do ANYTHING else, we need to set GOALS!!
What does your ultimate portrait experience look like? This is where I come in. The pre-consult helps me to get to know your family and answer all of your questions. We speak about everything from what to wear, location planning to how you would like your images displayed (very important). Your session is carefully planned and fully designed.
AMAZING portraits start with a GREAT relationship.
Pre-consults can take place in your home (easy for me to see your walls and help you design wall art on the spot) or over the phone.
STEP 2. The Photo Session - Let’s have some FUN!!!
Excellent PLANNING and a solid GOAL = a successful session!!
I know how stressful a shoot can be for parents. Kids are unpredictable and some dad’s just don’t want to be there (because we make them haha). I get it!! Think of it as much needed family time. The perfect opportunity to be yourselves and enjoy each others company. Then let me do the rest…I have over 12 years experience. I can help create a fun stress free environment for all. I love to focus on each family member’s relationship with each other to get those genuine connections. The kids can run around, play games and go exploring. With our careful planning, you can be confident knowing you will leave your session with a huge smile on your face (even dad)…excited to see what I create for you.
Your session will take place at one of my favourite outdoor locations in and around Fernvale, QLD or a location that is special to you (travel fee may apply for locations over 45 minutes from Fernvale). I only shoot in the afternoons as these are the best lighting conditions. Who doesn’t love that gorgeous warm golden sunlight filtering through the trees and onto your hair (just dreamy). A session will usually last between 1-2 hours but I don’t time them….as long as I’m home before dinner haha!
STEP 3. The Design & Ordering Appointment
You get to see your beautiful Photos & turn them into Artwork!
The reveal and ordering appointment is hands down my favourite part. This is where we get to sit down together and see all of our hard work come to life. I create a slide show to music with your beautiful images to watch. You get to relive the whole afternoon again (get the tissues ready). After we dry the tears, I will give you time to take in each image one by one and choose your favourites. Its now time to design your perfect heirloom album, stunning wall art or art mount box. There is something to suit every family.
The ordering appointment is when you will finalise your portrait order, so please choose an appointment time when all decision makers can be present.
STEP 4. Delivery - Final handover of your Art Work
Ready to pick up & install
Around 3 weeks after full payment has been made, your art pieces will be ready for collection. I will send you a message or give you a call to make arrangements to get it all safely home. Once your portraits are hanging beautifully in your home or displaying on your coffee table or mantle, you will be able to enjoy them day after day and share your excitement with your friends and family.
Is that the end? NO!! Often family’s come back year after year. Those kids of yours grow and change, so updates are needed. We can plan around your previous session to creatively add art around what you already have. AMAZING!!
