You're Not Too Busy … You're Just Not Prioritising Your Memories

This might sting a little. But sometimes we need to hear it.

One of the biggest reasons families tell me they haven't booked photos is this:

"We're just too busy."

Busy is real. Between school dropoffs, sport on Saturdays, grocery shopping, work, meal planning, appointments and trying to keep everyone alive, it's no wonder mums feel stretched.

But here's what I've noticed. We always make time for the things we decide matter.

The dentist appointment gets booked.

The dance concert goes in the calendar.

The school photos are paid for.

The family holiday is organised months in advance….

Yet somehow, creating memories with our own family always ends up in the "one day" pile. Not because we don't care. Because we're so used to putting ourselves last. As mums, we're experts at making sure everyone else's needs are met first. But one day your children won't remember how clean the house was. They won't remember whether the laundry basket was empty.

They'll remember the photographs hanging on the walls.

They'll remember seeing themselves loved.

They'll remember seeing you in those photos too.

Family photography isn't just another thing on your to-do list. It's an investment in your family's story. Your memories deserve space in your calendar.

Not because life isn't busy.

But because life is busy.

And that's exactly why these moments deserve to be documented before it’s too late.

If you keep waiting until life slows down, you may find those years have already slipped by.

Your memories matter.

Treat them like they do.
