The Edwards Extended Family | Kholo Botanical Gardens Ipswich

This was a very special session for the Edwards Family.

Alicia wanted to capture some lasting memories of her family with her beautiful mother who was very unwell. When Alicia asked me to do this for her, I knew that I had a very important and very special job to do. I was the one whom they chose and trusted to give them images that they would remember her by. These were the images they would look at day after day, on special occasions …and just because they miss her.

I admire each and every one of them. The strength they showed during the session was exceptional. Im not sure if I could have held it together if it were me. My heart ached for them. The love and respect they had for one another was beyond moving.

“Having these photos was so important for us. One of the last things Mum said to me was that she wasn't ready to go because the grandkids wouldn't remember her. These photos are part of helping keep those memories alive for the grandkids as much as all of us. Seeing her smiling, well and happy brings me such joy and it is nice to be reminded of these moments rather than being stuck remembering her final days and the huge hole she has left in our hearts. I am so grateful to have had Lisa take these photos for us - I look at them daily and smile”. -Alicia

Alicia’s beautiful mum passed away less then two months after this session.
